Why we built this
Bangladesh law is hard to access — for most people
Bangladesh has over 1,570 enacted laws — from the Constitution to criminal codes, family law, consumer rights, and beyond. But for most people, these laws are inaccessible: written in legal language, scattered across government websites, and rarely available in clear, everyday Bangla.
Without a tool like Songbidhan, people rely on rumour, incomplete advice, or simply give up on understanding their rights. This confusion leads to wrong decisions, missed legal protections, and a sense that the law belongs to lawyers, not to citizens.
Many people also misinterpret, misuse, or fail to comply with the Constitution — but because most citizens lack direct access to the actual text, they have no way to verify what is correct or incorrect. People believe what others say because they have no tool to check for themselves. Songbidhan changes that.
Songbidhan was built to close that gap. One place. Every law. Your language.
কেন তৈরি করেছি
বাংলাদেশের আইন বেশিরভাগ মানুষের নাগালের বাইরে
বাংলাদেশে ১,৫৭০-এরও বেশি প্রণীত আইন রয়েছে — সংবিধান থেকে শুরু করে দণ্ডবিধি, পারিবারিক আইন, ভোক্তা অধিকার এবং আরও অনেক কিছু। কিন্তু বেশিরভাগ মানুষের জন্য এই আইনগুলো দুর্গম: আইনি ভাষায় লেখা, সরকারি ওয়েবসাইটে ছড়িয়ে ছিটিয়ে, এবং সহজ বাংলায় খুব কমই পাওয়া যায়।
সংবিধানের মতো একটি টুল ছাড়া মানুষকে অনুমানের উপর নির্ভর করতে হয়। ভুল সিদ্ধান্ত, আইনি সুরক্ষা হারানো এবং এমন অনুভূতি যে আইন আইনজীবীদের, নাগরিকদের নয়।
অনেকে সংবিধানের ভুল ব্যাখ্যা করেন, অপব্যবহার করেন, বা মানেন না — কিন্তু বেশিরভাগ নাগরিকের কাছে মূল পাঠ্য সরাসরি নেই বলে তারা যাচাই করতে পারেন না কোনটি সঠিক আর কোনটি ভুল। মানুষ অন্যরা যা বলে তাই বিশ্বাস করে কারণ নিজে যাচাই করার কোনো উপায় নেই। সংবিধান সেটাই বদলে দেয়।

Who built this
A community initiative by RabbiiCo
Songbidhan is a non-commercial community project created and maintained by RabbiiCo, an Australian technology company. It operates as a public-benefit initiative — no revenue is generated, no user data is collected, and no fees are charged.
Infrastructure, AI compute, and development costs are funded entirely by RabbiiCo. Songbidhan is not a registered charity or non-profit entity — it is a community initiative run at the discretion of its parent company, with the sole purpose of making Bangladeshi law accessible to everyone.
